Congratulations to Kayla Harrison for becoming the first American to win Gold in the Olympics for Judo. It is a shame that hardly any Judo was shown on TV during the Olympic Games. Judo was the 3rd most represented sport in this year's games. Maybe now that the U.S. has finally won gold, it will get the coverage it deserves.

Thank you to everyone that helped out with the Dynamic MMA booth at the Douglas County Fair. Our dojo has been built on the power of volunteers and its continued growth depends on you.

This week in the dojo

Back to basics this week. We have many new students that need to learn these basic movements as well as everyone else needing review.
